    Kids Construction/Engineering-themed Birthday Party

    Donae / June 15, 2022 / No Comments

My eldest is already 7! Can you believe it? Time surely has a way of creeping up on us. Now I had to plan another party with my eldest son’s choice in mind. This year he requested an engineering-themed party. I quickly got to work on building an engineering party with a theme of construction. He also wanted a pool…

    Discipline From A Mom’s Perspective

    Donae / May 13, 2022 / No Comments

This is a “tricky” topic if you ask me. I quite frankly don’t know much about discipline. I have observed my parent’s way of discipline, but I haven’t really established my own fully as I am new to this with a 5 and a 6-year-old. However, with the “little” that I do know, I have observed some things along the…

What Being A Mom Of Boys Taught Me

    Donae / May 4, 2022 / No Comments

Do you remember that popular song back in the 60s I believe that said “Boys will be boys!”. I never imagined I would be saying that to myself as a mom of boys, every now and again and finally understanding that “boys, will be boys”, no matter what. Now that I have two boys of my own ages 5 and…

Why Dating When Married With Kids Is Important

    Donae / April 27, 2022 / No Comments

I remember the days when we had no kids and we were “young” “wild” and “free” to explore life in its many facets by being adventurous as much as we could, and sleeping in when we wanted to. We called the “shots” for the most part and “dating when married with kids” was never on our agenda. Fast forward to…

My kids are at an older age, and I believe that they can help at home with simple chores. Even as young as age 2, there are actually age-appropriate chores for kids to do. So far, my kids have done simple chores, such as putting their plates away, keeping their toy rooms tidy, helping with food preparation, and also spreading…

AUTHOR & BLOGGER

I am Donae! A wife and mom of three kids, ALL boys! I would love to share with you my experience with living purposefully. Let my life Inspire, Encourage and Motivate you on your journey of living a purposeful life.

Peace won’t find you, if you don’t make it a prior Peace won’t find you, if you don’t make it a priority. What you invest in will be your portion. As women we tend to put our peace on the back burner all the time.

No wonder why most of us are running thin each day trying to keep up. We hide behind the mask each time with a long list of things to do that can rob our peace and our very existence if we don’t take care.

Sometimes we wear “busyness” as if it’s a trophy and the more “busy” we are the more accomplished we feel.

But I know that behind closed doors, many of us are at the brink of a major “burnout”.

I see you and I completely understand. I wrote a blog post to specifically address the need for women to: FINDING PEACE IN CHAOS. Learn how to find and maintain peace in a chaotic life.

Loving yourself first does not come easy to a lot Loving yourself first does not come easy to a lot of us as women. We have been taught for so long to love others more times than the thought of loving ourselves first and foremost. If you look at it this way first, then you will see that the way to truly having freedom in oneself is going to come from a place of self-love.

How are you expected to give to others especially if your soul is depleted? You would rather be giving the worse version of yourself. I know that I don’t want to give my worst self to my family or friends.

So for me, the best balance that I can find, is to make sure I’m pouring more into myself. When I do that, the ones I love around me will also reap the benefits.

Have you neglected yourself? Then read this blog post on : LEARNING TO LOVE WHO YOU ARE. You will learn truth about this simple exercise that will hopefully open your eyes to even more truth.

I’m in a new space and phase of life in my 40s. I I’m in a new space and phase of life in my 40s. I am so blessed to have another little one join in on our adventures. Can I just say he fits our family vibes perfectly? It’s as if he was born for this.

I am incredibly grateful for new life and new experiences once again after 8 years. But this experience didn’t come without a wait. With every passing moment, it can be easy to get discouraged if things don’t happen quickly or in our favor.

However, I have learned one major thing on this journey compared to the one I first started out on: life has a way of shifting your focus toward practicing gratitude, rather than wanting someone else’s life.

So, I wanted to write about a simple yet powerful topic: LIVING A LIFE OF GRATITUDE, no matter what season of life you find yourself in.

So with this new blessing in our life we decided to throw a pool-themed first birthday party, because this newbie right here is fond of everything water. So the theme was so fitting for him.

I wrote a NEW BLOG POST, “POOL PARTY-THEMED FIRST BIRTHDAY”, sharing with you tips on how to plan a special first birthday that’s fun and budget friendly.

Have you ever heard of the saying "boundaries up"? Have you ever heard of the saying "boundaries up"? I have heard it so many times but in all honesty, it's true. We have to be aware of our own well-being at all times to be able to be more effective in interacting with others. You can't give from an empty or drained cup. You have to keep pouring into your own well-being then when you're full, you can easily pour into others. That's why when you're drained especially as a mom learn to say no more often than yes. It is needed for your sanity.

Self-care is essential for moms. We do need to con Self-care is essential for moms. We do need to constantly check in on our mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Do not neglect this basic principle. Otherwise, you will constantly be battling in a state of burnout and frustration. When you reach that state, you are of no help to the family you're called to nurture. So don't ever feel guilty about wanting to pour into your cup first before pouring into the lives of others. A healthy version of yourself is needed.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with creating he There is absolutely nothing wrong with creating healthy boundaries in your life. I used to think that you have to put up with anything for the most part because it's the right thing or "Christian" thing to do. But I'm learning each day that it's rather not the case. Your ability to function at best is always going to triumph. If that means that you must guard your heart when positioned in toxic environments carefully, then that's what it will have to take to ensure your thriving at the end of it all. So be proactive about this and guard your heart at all costs. It's worth it!
